FIREMEN’S MEMORIAL EXHIBIT CENTER OF WESTERN NEW YORK

Many area fire departments have proudly preserved & maintained antique fire apparatus, photographs, buckets, helmets, badges and more in an effort to honor the history of fire fighting throughout Western New York.

The founders of the Firemen’s Memorial Exhibit Center of Western New York, Inc. are tracing the history of fire fighting in this area with a priceless collection of memorabilia and equipment used from the days of the bucket brigades to the motorized vehicles of the present day.

The Center collection also houses rolling stock  including five hose carts, a Hook & Ladder Unit, two wheel chemical Carts, a 1968 Int’l Chassis with a Darley Body, a 1954 American LaFrance Fireball, a 1932 Buffalo and a 1947 Buffalo.

Volunteer firemen have been an integral part of  our communities. Our organization promotes the history of volunteer fire services in Western New York, educates the public through firematic displays and offers fire prevention programs.
